It’s In Nottingham’s Independents Festival takes place each June and is a fantastic way of shining a spotlight on all of the great independent businesses in Nottingham. This year the festival takes place on Saturday 30th June, with lots of great free events, activities and performances going on all over the city centre! As part of Independents Festival we are hosting a free cold enamelling demonstration here at The Bead Shop. We will be introducing you to the process and showing you how simple it is to create great results, you’ll also get the opportunity to have a go yourself, creating a colourful pendant or charm. Check out our event on Facebook for further details here.

You can see what else is happening around Nottingham on the 30th June here.

You can also vote for your favourite independent Nottingham shop and we’d really appreciate it if you could spare a minute to cast your vote, it would mean the world to us if you voted for The Bead Shop. You’ll also get entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher to use at last year’s winner, the speciality coffee shop.

The Bead Shop Nottingham is centrally located within a two minute walk of many independents. On our street alone we have Ugly Bread Bakery which is a great spot to grab a coffee, lunch or a sweet treat (their pizzas & Mezzalunas are wonderful). We are also a stone’s throw away from Knit Nottingham, if you are a knitter or into crochet it is the perfect destination after your stop at The Bead Shop Nottingham. Also down the road from us is St James Street where you can find Handmade Nottingham, a shop full of handcrafted gifts and a go to for beautiful cards. This is also right next door to Malt Cross, a cafe bar in what was once a music hall who serve a great hot chocolate (with Malteasers on top).
